Northumbria Junior League

The league is played off gross - no handicap allowance, so its tough!!

We have broken our duck and have recorded our first victory in our fourth game, beating a useful Wallsend team 10-2. Well done to the whole team.

Some things you may need to know about playing in the Junior League

Some brief points to note:

Start time 3.00pm for home games unless advised to the contrary on the team sheet. Away games start times will be given by the host club nearer the date for play and will be displayed on a match by match basis. (It always a Sunday afternoon tee-time).

The Team sheet is displayed on the Junior Notice board by Monday evening before the games.

Players are sent texts to confirm their place in the side and it is very helpful to the Organisers, if players could remember to reply to the text with confirmation that they will attend the game.

If you cannot play it is imperative that you let the Junior Organiser or the Junior Captain know as soon as possible in order that a replacement can be found.

There is a dress code in the Northumbria Junior Golf League. Players must have a shirt and tie for the meal afterwards. Many clubs do not allow your polo shirts to be outside of your trousers. It is easier to comply than to offend, so please tuck in shirts!
