Whitley Bay Pro Shop offers a warm, friendly welcome to all members and visitors. Club PGA Professional, David Twizell, and his staff are committed to making golf at Whitley Bay an enjoyable and memorable experience.

David Twizell joined Whitley Bay as Club PGA Professional in 2013 and endeavours to provide an outstanding service across all areas including lessons, club fitting and retail. With over fifteen years in the golf industry David has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the role of a modern PGA Professional.

Lessons and Coaching Philosophy

David is renowned for coaching golfers of all ages and abilities. He believes that every golfer is unique and individual. Therefore, he strives to improve their swing rather than ‘one swing fits all’. Using the latest GC2 Foresight technology, alongside high definition video technology, he can break the swing down and identify areas which can be improved. He has a holistic view to coaching so will analyse your entire game and not just your swing.

Individual tuition is also available for all types of golfer from low handicap golfers to complete beginners; David will tailor the lesson to suit your needs and help achieve your golfing goals.

David runs junior group coaching classes throughout the year from ages five upwards. All equipment can be supplied. Get in touch to find out more.

David also runs beginner adult coaching classes called ‘Get Into Golf’. He runs these throughout the year and it can be a great way to give golf a go.
